  • HOW MANY GUESTS CAN THE VENUE ACCOMMODATE?

    The venue reception area can accommodate up to 200 guests.
  • DO YOU PROVIDE TABLES AND CHAIRS?

    We have twelve 8-foot long rectangular tables and we have twelve 60” round tables as well as 300 white chairs.
  • IS THERE AN AVAILABLE AUDIO-VISUAL SYSTEM?

    We have a large flat-screen television where videos can be played from a jump drive.
  • WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DOES MY DJ OR BAND NEED TO PROVIDE?

    The DJ or band must provide all their own equipment.
  • DOES SOUTH LAUREL HAVE WIFI?

    Yes

KITCHEN & CATERING

  • IS THERE A CATERING KITCHEN?

    Yes, and it is equipped with a Microwave, Freezer, Refrigerator and Warming Oven.
  • DO YOU HAVE AN ICE MACHINE?

    Yes
  • WHAT ARE THE CATERING AND BARTENDING POLICIES?

    South Laurel allows clients to choose their caterer and other vendors of their choice. A licensed bartender is required. We highly recommend using professional services to ensure the full success of your event.

Events and Housekeeping

  • DOES SOUTH LAUREL BOOK MULTIPLE WEDDINGS PER DAY?

    South Laurel does not book more than one wedding per day.
  • IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL FEE FOR A CEREMONY REHEARSAL?

    No. This is something that we include in the Wedding Package. The rehearsal must be scheduled with the venue director at least 30 days before your scheduled event.
  • WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANUP AFTER THE EVENT?

    The venue must be left looking the way it was presented. The client or their chosen representative must be present until the last guest has departed and you must ensure that the following has been completed:
    -Trash is to be completely picked up and placed into the provided bins
    -All rented equipment (décor) must be picked up after the event or during designated time as previously arranged with venue director
    -Tables and chairs do NOT need to be picked up or moved. We will take care of that.
    -Please refer to your personalized contract for further information regarding rental and cleanup procedures.
  • HOW OFTEN IS SOUTH LAUREL AVAILABLE FOR RENTALS?

    South Laurel facilities are available seven days a week. Please see our online calendar for our available dates.
  • DO YOU HAVE A DRESSING AREA AVAILABLE?

    With the Wedding package, the client may use the bride and groom dressing areas.
  • MAY CARS BE LEFT OVERNIGHT?

    Cars may be left overnight but they will only be accessible to pick up during regular business hours. License plates of the cars left will be recorded and any damage incurred to the property from cars driving around or through gates when they are locked will be taken from the security deposit. South Laurel is not responsible for theft or damage to vehicles left outside of the client’s chosen event hours.

    Candles must be enclosed in hurricane lamps. Votive candles must be enclosed in glass Sterno warmers may be used by caterers.
